Fotograf zachytil na zdrcujícím VIDEU ledního medvěda. Následující záběry chytí za srdce

Brečeli jsme, točili jsme, ale po tvářích nám tekly slzy. Tak okomentoval pořizování dokumentu fotograf a ekolog Paul Nicklen.

Vychrtlého a bezmocného ledního medvěda objevil během svých cest za polárním kruhem a záběry zveřejnil na svém Instagramu. Medvěd, kterému jsou vidět kosti, se snaží najít jakoukoliv potravu. Přehrabuje se v koši a vysílen si lehá na zem.

“Je to zdrcující scéna, jen tak se toho výjevu nezbavím. Samozřejmě ale nejde zveřejňovat jen krásné příběhy a fotografie z přírody. Je třeba uvádět i to smutné a tragické. Jen díky tomu se problémy, které cloumají přírodou, dostanou do povědomí,” uvedl na své sociální síti fotograf.

Samozřejmě netrvalo dlouho a jeho příspěvek se začal setkávat s reakcemi. Mnozí se ho ptali, proč nebohému zvířeti nepomohl. Ekolog vysvětlil, že existují pouze dvě možností v takovém případě. Zvíře zastřelit a ukončit jeho trápení, nebo mu přinést jídlo, což by údajně z dlouhodobého hlediska situaci nevyřešilo.  Krmení ledních medvědů je k tomu  Kanadě nelegální.
